Today I learned...

... that Tigers are not what they seem. At a first glance they may appear as pretty cool brick shaped monsters, but in reality they're treacherous minefields of countless photoetched tool clasps and other tiny garbage ๐Ÿ™€ I think German engineers went a bit too far with this!

Needless to say when I decide to build another Tiger, it will definitely be out of the box. Or maybe not, but I'll make sure to ignore the photoetched clasps.

I'm happy to announce that most of the heavy work is out of the way and only some minor stuff remains. The rear mudguard, a few welds around some hull details, and some extra tiny details. Oh and of course the bucket! And probably a few jerry cans and a tank jack.

Now every model of this tank has the glacis plate covered with spare track, however the photos I have don't show this part so it's totally up to debate. I'd personally keep the glacis as it is... what are your thoughts?

Excellent point, I figured the same thing today looking at a photo of the F01.

Well references decided for me, the track is on ๐Ÿ˜„

If you take a look at the other Tigers from Fehrmann. They all have tracks mounted on the front glacis, so? It also gives something special to the model, a more brutal look. A little extra to the eye.

Great work! I would stick with a clean front plate. They already have spare tracks up in the turret so why would you cover up the zimmerit with something magnetic? Just talking based on opinion and not looking into references
