The KV-220-2 is officially finished!
Tomorrow I'm gonna start putting the video together. HD photos will be ready in a few days.
So... how do I feel about it? Pretty okay actually. I could've done a much better job in some aspects, but some of these were just due to the kit's quality - especially the running gear. I guess finishing 2 models with shitty tracks and wheels in a row isn't the most satisfying thing if you're a fussy boi like me and it can actually make you a bit discouraged and as a result you don't see any reason to try harder.
If you're sensing an overly strong contrast between the whitewash on the turret and the weathering on the hull, that was done on purpose according to a few reference pics. Sometimes I felt like I could still tone it down just a little bit by adding a few muddy streaks towards the lower edge of the turret sides, but then decided against it.
I'm now feeling super stoked about the next model. To be honest, I have the strongest urge to build a Tiger, or rather finish building a Tiger which I started a few years ago (it's the Kampfgruppe Fehrmann F13, probably the most interesting Tiger imho), but the amount of work I'm dealing with during the weekdays makes me feel like that's not the best idea just yet, so I think the most logical decision is to build that small Rutscher I got from Das Werk. I got all the available aftermarket for it and some ideas which I wanna try, so it should be pretty fun. I just hate how that thing looks, but I guess it's just one of those petty things you get used to.
