The fact the running gear is weathered while the rest of the tank isn't makes it look more weird, but that'll change soon (hopefully for the better lol)

Oh thank you for the nice words! I was just expecting more in the end, but hey MAYBE the rest of the earth tones on the top surfaces will tie it together. Often times tracks look just boring because they're either covered in wet mud or dried earth... and the rest of the model makes up for it. And you're right with one thing - at times I contemplated masking off the rest of the model so I could use speckling to add more texture, but then I immediately thought no, it's not worth the effort. Maybe I should've tried it after all :D

2019-11-03 20:13:52 +0000 UTCoh man, you worry too much!! it is looking so awesome. the paint job it is great!! remember this is just a restoration from a poorly detailed kit and you enhanced a lot of stuff on it! Tracks are difficult to improve and may take long time to get them right. probably don't even worth the effort. (despite, you never saw one of my builds so you don't need to feel bad because of a crappy pair of tracks π€£)
