Yeah, it's not a very fast process. Sometimes I try to challenge myself like "okay I have to apply the rust tones in 1 evening" but many of those techniques just require more time and it's not always possible to work super fast. Also, I'm not as energetic as I used to be, when I was a kid, I could spend 10 hours at the workbench without any interruptions. Now I'm impressed when I pull a 3 hour session

Lol watching how you paint I can see it taking a long time. I used to think taking a month was spending to much time on a model but now I feel it’s not enough. I got the book with the Maus you made I want to do a jagtiger using those techniques in the primer tones I shall plan on it taking up some time then. YouTube makes it look deceivingly quick and easy on some steps thanks to editing. It’s nice to hear from a professional that I can be life consuming.

It takes a long time. Before I started Youtube I went crazy on each of my models and some, like the Maus, took like 8 months to build and paint. The Chi-Ri which is on Youtube was about 4 months of work almost every day. I need to figure out a more efficient way to paint models :)

Question how long does a normal paint job on a day 35th scale model take you? I’m talking nothing crazy over the top just simple with all the washes and effects.
