This was mainly a maintenance month focused on rejoining the goblin/imp sections of the game with the dungeon section. The big changes are cutscenes can now be skipped by holding any button and I added attack animations for the goblins. Everything else were minor fixes I had planned to do and then a large pile of cleaning up bugs that resulted from them.
• Added a representation of the crystal to the dark elf boss room (sizing is incorrect and will be fixed in the future)
• Improved positioning of shadows and smoke on pushable statues
• Fixed magic orbs so the sides of the image will not be cut off
• Added sound effects to the dark elf boss fight
• Dark elf boss Hp was accidentally set to 1 in the last version. The correct value has been restored
• You can now hold any key to skip through cutscenes
• Statue puzzle in the dungeon will remain solved after leaving room
• Being defeated in the dungeon will send you to a placeholder room while the capture scenario for this area is being developed
• Added attack animations for goblins
• Enemy attack can now be interrupted
• Adjusted enemy attack boxes and added a small delay after they receive damage
• Casting magic will now do damage as well as knockback enemies. This should be more help for instances where the player is unarmed
• Magic point regeneration has been added to help with this as well
• Removed the blue goblins
• Enemies will freeze during a dialogue pop up
• Enemies should no longer be able to damage each other
• Fixed a whole bunch of bugs
I planned on having the tavern reconnected for this version as well but I really did not expect that amount of bugs present in the goblin/imp areas. Thankfully those should all be fixed now.
The amount of scenes in the tavern to convert to being skippable will take a while longer. I'm also certain there is no small amount of bugs in there as well. So for the next version that will be my top goal.
