I've heard that this one was largely improvised. They shot on location - but something went comprimisingly wrong. The bus wasn't supposed to be this damaged and unable to move, so the story had to change.

2024-07-24 11:15:36 +0000 UTCAs you said, this one is "just" a fun romp. About Lady Cristina and her companion potential though, I think she would make a TERRIBLE companion actually. The Doctor needs, as Donna put it, "someone to stop him". Cristina is even more reckless than he is, that would fast turn into a disaster of intergalactic proportions in my opinion! The companion is supposed to ground the Doctor, that’s their main role, she wouldn’t fit that at all I feel. Nothing against her personally, I just feel strongly that their dynamic would be destructive and not beneficial. I know a lot of people who would love her as a companion, I really disagree - wondering if I’m more in the majority or minority on this one? Thank you for sharing - can’t wait for the next 3!
