I think Davros’ screaming that the Doctor is “the destroyer of worlds” just goes to show how unhinged, narcissistic and divorced from reality (and self awareness) he actually is. Incidentally, in a sense it was the Doctor who planted the seed of the idea for the Reality Bomb into Davros’ mind way back in their first encounter 4th Doctor and Sarah Jane in Genesis of the Daleks), when the Doctor tries to reason with Davros to dissuade him from creating the Daleks. The Doctor asks if Davros found a virus that would wipe out all life, would he really want to release it? And Davros ponders for a moment and gradually gets more excited at the power such a thing would give him, and “Yes! I would!” So all these years later here he is about to destroy all reality for the power trip it provides him. Genesis of the Daleks is one of must watch Classic Who stories.

2024-07-21 05:33:37 +0000 UTCI certainly agree that Donna’s ending is the most tragic of all companion departures. She grew so much with the Doctor and undoubtedly made him better as well.
