I have some updates on the universe's cruel jokes that have been preventing the next page from coming out. Last weekend (usually the only viable time I have to draw) I was powered down to get a lot of work done. No distractions. Anti-update (Revised)

Well, if you've read the comments section to the previous post you'll see that I made a sweeping judgement without consulting anyone, and missed the point to why a lot of you donate in the first place. My bad. The July donations will NOT be frozen due to people still wanting to contribute. I'll handle anyone that wants a refund on a case-by-case basis instead. Just let me know. And I can't thank you all enough!

If I ever do figure out how to sell a physical version of the comic I'd like to give my Patrons (you!) a discount. Which may not be possible if it's produced at-cost, but we'll see.

Mini Update #12

Long time no see. Just letting you all know the next page is coming along swimmingly. I'm trying a few new things like cataloging how much time it takes to draw and seeing how I can improve upon it. I'm not sure how I feel about showing my embarrassingly long times but there you go. Maybe transparency will improve the struggle.

Pretty soon down the road I'm going to have another update about some cool physical media that may or may not be related to the recent Yuffie and Cait Sith image...

Not the most spectacular page in the world coming up but there's more to draw than usual! That's why I missed this Sunday. Still blown away by everyone's generosity. :) Keep on laughing at Final Fantasy, ya'll.

Bigger update, but some bad news

I'll start with positive news. Through your donations I was finally able to get this tablet three weeks ago or so. It's great. It works just like drawing on paper and the agony of my process is cut down by a considerable amount. I mean by a lot. I've always thought the sheer labor of the comic would be the end of it (Heck, it almost was). So I can't thank you enough for that.

Alright, it's been way too long as I'm sure some of you are starting to notice. Bad news is it will still be a while before the page is finished. I completely lost track of time for a few reasons: Right after I finished the last page I thought I could get away with playing Dragon Quest 11 for a week, which I did, but then the following week allotted to working on the comic was too busy and I had to work the weekend (yet again). Hoping to stay back on track, not much of an update here. I'm very much enjoying the weird imagery of the Temple on this playthrough. We spend half a second in some of these rooms so I don't know if many people appreciate or even take in what they're seeing. Like, wtf is this? Is the Nail Bat the true dinosaur weapon? We may never know.

That delay from last time still has things pushed back (i.e. posting on Tuesday means I didn't start the new page until later, when otherwise I would have already been working on it), so at some point I have to get caught back up. Until I can get a day off things are going to be a little bit wacky! Enjoy the freedom to play Bideo James while it lasts, because I certainly want to right now.

Just a fair warning for this one, for anyone that cares! I found out I work on the weekend which totally throws a wrench in my plans. I can't see myself finishing the page without those two free days, so you might see it on Monday or Tuesday instead. Still, I might finish it on time if all the stars align. Whenever I fail to upload on a Sunday/once a week there will be a mini-update! This is one of those weeks. So, see ya next Sunday.

And for anyone that is new to the comic (Which I imagine most Patrons are long-term fans. Don't want to assume too much here), the unofficial upload schedule is once every two weeks. Always has been in the past, but, I'll try to avoid that if I can.

Hello, fellow FF fans.

With enough feedback I've decided to try the whole Patreon thing out. We'll see how it goes, and if it ever becomes successful enough I'll think about adding reward tiers + all them bells and whistles and doodads.
