New Channel!

Hey, the stolen RAV4 could make a solid video idea: Show different types of kill switches and do a general "how to install a kill switch" overview. Honestly, you should consider adding one to all of yours and Andy’s cars, especially since you’re running the channel out of your house right now. As the more your channel grows, your vehicles could become targets after you start showing ("advertising") them to thieves on camera. For the video, show the different kinds of kill switches and give suggestions for hiding them without actually revealing exact location where you put one in your own car (or simply mention you will be changing it's final hidden location as the one shown is just demonstration, as revealing it's location to anyone, even friends, may make a killswitch pointless) From my experience: 1. If your dash has blank button plates on the dash as the mfg is shaming you for not buying the higher trim.. you can get a factory replacement momentary push button and make the killswitch look like a normal accessory button. It’s convenient to use and hides in plain sight, which is my preferred install spot. 2. If you use the killswitch that comes with some kits, don’t just stick it under the dash where thieves often may look. Instead a good hiding spot, is inside the shifter, under it's boot cover, make sure to install it low enough that it doesn't get hit by accident or interfere with shifting, but you can still feel and press it through the shifter boot. Other spots thieves won’t check: behind the headliner, under a seat, etc. 3. Digital or remote-style kill switches exist, but I don’t love them. They often require carrying another bulky remote, remote wear or remote battery failure can strand you, and some digital killswitch modules, if cheap, can drain the car's battery as they stay awake waiting for the remote signal, also resulting in you getting stranded. --- Also, if you go the killswitch route make sure it’s the type that automatically turns off when the car is turned off. Don’t get a cheap one kill switch that stays permanently on across vehicle power cycles. People get lazy and complacent and stop switching stuff off, thus making a killswitch pointless.. So get a momentary style or one that detects shut off and turns itself off so you only have to switch it on when you get in. ---- Another option to show: if the car is newer, valuable, rare, or commonly stolen brand/model, it may be worth getting and installing a legit GPS device in your car.. Not the obvious dealer provided plug-in trackers (i.e. LoJack), the ones that just plug through the OBD-II port or directly on the battery. Those are easy to find and unplug and first place a thief may look checking for a tracker.. Instead a legit GPS tracker is one that can be well-hidden that requires time, effort, and disassembly of the vehicle to get at to remove, is much harder for a thief to defeat and that your common thief or joyrider won't do in a million years. And please warn viewers not to rely on an AirTag! those are not an alternative for a legit GPS tracker, As thieves also get alerts about the AirTag following them and their phone can point to and ping an AirTag’s exact hiding spot. Instead, if you do use an AirTag, make it strictly supplemental to a real GPS tracker, As this way it may serve as a decoy, believing that this was the owner's only and poor attempt at gps tracking, and as such, may give a thief a false sense of security and not bother to suspect there's also a main gps tracker hidden elsewhere.

How much is that video capture device you are talking about, Alex?

It is a mistake of LTT to let you go.
