2022/06/08 Starting new work! - maid

Hi, all my patrons!

Planed and start a new work 'Maid'! This moment is always the hardest. 

I uploaded two pictures, the first one is the photo references, the second one is the chosen pose and the rejected poses.

When I was working at the company, I already made 3 maid outfits. The red square on the upper left corner is the last maid costume I made. It was an outfit that went into NCsoft's Universe, but it probably didn't updated in the game because of its political correctness. What the...🤦‍♂️

Back to the point, I had a lot of concern points this time. 'Am I going to work with a sexy concept like French made?' Or 'Whether to dress up in a classic costume, or in a cute way that appears in Japanese animation?', or 'Whether to give them weapons like Battle Maid.'

The costume and image of Maid that everyone wants will be different. And since it's a subject that's already been consumed a lot, I'm still looking for references for better works or making works that don't exist.

The final conclusion is to focus on the original concept of the maid. What I'm going to make is a maid with a mop.

The second picture is a study of poses. I really liked the pose on the top left corner, but I thought the frill and costume silhouette in the front were important due to the nature of the maid costume, so I was rejected.

I also like the bottom left, but I didn't choose this pose because I thought the front was more important than the back.

I think the pose at the top right corner is the sexiest pose, but I thought the standing pose was the best if I thought about the result for the maid skirt to come out pretty.

Lastly, I selected the work to proceed with the pose on the bottom right in red. Compared to the other three poses, it's a very normal pose. It's even similar to the old work of "Elf holding the Spear." The reason I chose this pose is because it's the pose that makes the outfit look the best, and I think I can change the one holding the mop into something else. And the costume production is easier than other poses, so if you want me to make another maid costume, I can change it easily.

That's too long scripted. I was very stressed and worried while preparing for this work. There are already many 'maid' work, but I think about how to make a better one. If you have any good ideas, you are always welcome!

Deadline for this work is two weeks or two and a half weeks.

I can't post this weekend because of a family gathering. If I can post it on another day, I will report the process.
