Barnyard Blast v2 Wip 9

Sorry this one small. Brain being stupid and just been hanging with best friend during free fun times.
Enjoy the final intermission! After this is Ophelia's giga shitting, and the Epilogue!
--------------------------

[Have you found her!?] Kayle’s voice rang out in Kallani’s skull as her brother only continued panicking. Kallani had made it to the front of the crowd, tail swishing left and right as her ears twitched every which way they could to try to pick up anything from the Heiress. His [Message] spell was quite helpful, but not when he was freaking out in her head and only making her more stressed than she was already!

[Kayle stop yelling! You never filter your thoughts with [Message] active!]

[But you haven’t found Lady Ophelia yet! Oh nooo we’re so dead we’re deeeaaad!] Kallani ignored everyone staring at her. There was a commotion in the large tent to her right, it seemed a dozen people were trying to enter the tent and being pushed back by the shopkeeper. Had the Heiress entered there? Ophelia bolted around people, skillfully maneuvering past them even with the many bags held in her hands, a lesser centaur would have barreled over all these people and caused many injuries, but as a Belise ‘Family Member’, an actual member of the Belise Company that was permitted on the grounds she was far more trained than just some average centaur.

[We aren’t dead you idiot! We just need to find her! Have you contacted her once or just been bothering me!?] Kallani snapped at her brother as she approached the tent.

[I diiid but she didn’t respond! She probably exploded and it’s all our fault! Nooo Lord Belise is gonna flay us alive! Or-or he’ll banish us and then Rohan and Blake will flay us alive! Forgiiive meeeee!]

[Would you shut the- GAH! Brother give me a minute to think!] Kallani used her front right hoot and gently poked a young man in the back. “Excuse me! What is going on here? Has anyone seen Lady Ophelia? A gorgeous centauress with white fur, extremely tall with- “

“She went inside and disappeared! Mrs. Cory won’t let anyone in Ma’am!” A member of the crowd pushed out from the tent answered. The young man looked like his former vexation had vanished instantly upon seeing Kallani.

“She did!? Thank you very much! Excuse me! Out of the way please I must speak with this Mrs. Cory!” Kallani hastily said to the crowd of grumpy young men and a few women who’d tried to barge into Mrs. Cory’s tent to see Ophelia after Evan had ‘stolen off with her’ [I got her!] Kallani yelled a bit too enthusiastically in her head as the crowd parted a little to let her enter the tent. Kallani kicked into the tent quickly only to see… several young adults arguing with an older woman, by her authority and presence she must have been the Shopkeeper Mrs. Cory. But Lady Ophelia wasn’t inside! Kallani may have been much better at hiding her nerves than her brother, but she too had her limits.

[You did!? Oh thank goodness. Oh, gods, I’m gonna faint. I’ll head over right-]

“[Where is she!?]” Kallani accidentally yelled in both the [Message] and real life. Kayle was now immediately back to panicking in his sister’s skull. Mrs. Cory looked up from the rowdy youngsters, getting sicker and sicker with their attitudes, she was about to grab a broom and start smacking heads till one of the brats screamed out. Looking up about to drop all self-censoring she’d been doing up to this point, Mrs. Cory realized the one who’d screamed was not from the group, in fact, there was no way she was from Dairfall at all! Mrs. Cory quickly took in all the details she could, her eye for details helped in marketing, and in scouting people. The centauress stood a tiny bit taller than all the rowdy youngsters, with a pretty but not extraordinary face like the one she’d just seen before, a grey coat of fur with slightly tanned skin and light brown eyes, she was a cute and homely girl, Mrs. Cory judged. And she was holding dozens of strange sacks hastily tied off with ropes, wearing a much cheaper and less intricate but still assuredly expensive skirt on her horse half as she pushed through the crowd, the same symbols and branding of the Belise company on it that had been on the enormous beauty beforehand. Mrs. Cory figured she knew exactly what those were for given the state of the beauty before.

“Ahhh. You must be the servant.” Mrs. Cory said sharply though without malice.

“Yes! Please where is my Lady?! My hide- reputation depends on it!” Kallani said a bit too nervously. Kayle was now openly crying in her head, and she looked ready to kick someone’s head in on accident if they so much as poked her from behind!

“Hmph. Did that brat lie to me? No, I got it. All of you little shits better get out before I start writing down names to tell your parents! Move it you little half-assed stickers! You too ladies! I’ll make every one of you end up with the curfew of a six-year-old!” Mrs. Cory barked suddenly as the young men almost unanimously turned red-faced and angry, but hastily left the tent, followed by the girls who’d come in too, sheepishly apologizing or complaining under their breath.

[I’m too young to diiee Agghhaaa! Waah! Sisstterrr, I love youuuu!] Kayle continued crying and whining in Kallani’s head as her right ear and eye twitched in unison. If Kayle were in front of her right now, she couldn’t tell if she’d be strangling him or hugging him and crying with him!

“Th-thank you Ma’am. My name is Kallani I am from-“

“Don’t care, save it, honey. Your master or whatever needs you right?” Mrs. Cory rudely interrupted. But Kallani only nodded graciously. “She went out the other side with a young man named Evan. He’s a good kid so I’m sure she’s fine. Judging by the state of her stomach…” Kallani’s ears perked up as her eyes widened. Mrs. Cory spread her arms wider and wider in a big arc before continuing. “Whatever was brewing in there wanted out right away. So she probably went to the fields far past here, or to… Yep probably to the Gallaow’s residence. Follow me.” Mrs. Cory walked to the back of her shop and pulled up the tent. Noticing with a grimace the stretch marks and small tear caused by Evan earlier… “Haah that brat is paying for that…”

“Allright. Head through here, you’ll notice a row of houses and shops. Don’t go through ‘em, look for a large alleyway between two buildings. Only one big enough for a centaur as big as your Master to go through. If you miss it you’ll end right back in the market. After you go through the alleyway you’ll see a couple more buildings, just saloons and ins, ignore them. Keep heading that way and you’ll see a large dirt road leading out past trees to the middle of nowhere. That’s the path to the Gallaow’s place. Dunno how fast a Centaur can run but should take you a few minutes at least. Here!” Mrs. Cory motioned and Kallani quickly ducked under, prancing in place as she wanted to bolt off the second the directions were given. “And when you see Evan and your Master, tell ‘em they owe me for damaging the tent and knocking down one of my rows! Now go honey!” As if she’d slapped her flank, Kallani burst into action and sprinted down, finding the alleyway and seeing chunks of wall at the end torn off, a definite sign Lady Ophelia had smashed through. Kallani was sweating from sheer nerves alone as she sprinted straight through the alley.

[Sissssteer!!!] Kayle screamed in her head as she left the alleyway almost as soon as she had entered it.

[WHAT!? You nearly made my hearts stop Kayle!] Kallani screamed at her brother in her head as she looked left and right for the path the shopkeep woman had explained.

[Lord Antelus messaged meeee! We’re ddeeeaadd *AGuuh Waaaaaah!* he-he’s sending Blake out!] Kayle was hiccupping from crying so hard. By the gods her brother could be so useless! But much more importantly-

[HOW THE FUCK DID LORD ANTELUS FIND OUT!? YOU TOLD HIM!?] Kallani’s stress hit peak levels as well as her urge to strangle her brother.

[NOoooOO! I Diiidn’t I just *Hic* I *Waaaah!* He just asked why I was crying and asked where Lady Ophelia wasssss! I- I couldn’t answeerrr and he demanded and I just said I didn’t knoowww! I’m sorry sister please! Forgive meee!]

[WELL DON’T ASK ME FOR FORGIVENESS, YOU IDIOT! ASK BLAKE BEFORE SHE SKINS US ALIVE! Can you sense me!?] Kallani stopped for a moment and tried to breathe. Even as fast as Blake was… the Pegasus would take a few hours to get there. They had at least that long to live and fix this!

[Y-yes *hic sniffle* I can… but what does-]

[Then get your skinny flank over to me right now! We can play this off! As long as Lady Ophelia forgives us, then Lord Antelus can just be told we got separated and you blundered in your report! We just need to make sure Lady Ophelia forgives us and Blake isn’t bringing her weapon!] Kallani repeated before she gulped as her human heart pounded in her chest, her second centaur heart still thumped powerfully in rhythm or else she might have just keeled over! Thinking of Blake’s magic bow, Shrill Scream, and prancing in place for a second as her ears twitched. Kallani almost whinnied in fear as she imagined Blake soaring above her, rearing her arms back and drawing the stringless bow’s magic cord before firing a bolt of magic at her… and Blake wouldn’t miss even if she was just a dot in the sky!

[O-okay sister! I’m on my way! I’m so sorry!] Kayle said before ending the [Message].

“Hoooo shit okay okay how long would it take Blake to fly at top speed here!? A few hours at least right!? Stop stop don’t think just find Lady Ophelia!” Kallani stopped and began galloping onto the path, trying to conserve her energy now as the gates of the farm slowly came into sight. Kallani would have cheered did she not see something that made both her hearts stop for a second… a large pile of shit thicker than small tree trunks blasting out of the side of the barn. Kallani leaped over the gate of the farm. Lady Ophelia had already started shitting and this one looked massive! As Kallani changed gaits to a sprint once more, Kayle politely thanked Mr. Berring before bolting out of the keep. Following the beacon in his mind attached to his twin thanks to the divination spell [Target Mark]. Only Kayle wasn’t thinking at all. Sprinting as fast as he could towards Kallani, he ran straight past the market at full speed, letting dozens upon dozens of Dairfall citizens see a panicking Centaur running as if wolves were beside him. One of those citizens being Jiren, still pissed Evan had run off with Ophelia… now the third centaur of the day seemed to be running towards some mysterious area… Jiren put two and two together.

“Everyone come on! Lets follow them!” Jiren shouted to his group of friends and citizens, the young men and women taking off as fast as they could to keep Kayle in their sights as more citizens began to follow them. Kayle may have been five times faster than them, but all it took was the general direction and Jiren was ready to lead the charge. As the Centaur disappeared into the distance already, the trail of dust was shaken yet again as a dozen young men and women were hot on the trail, a fair bit behind them nearly forty Dairfall citizens were chasing after them as well. Kayle was leading them straight to Evan’s barn and Ophelia’s private giant lavatory. When even the dust faded, the youngsters in the lead just had to look at the hoofprints stamped into the grass, dirt, and mud.

“We got them! Let’s see what that bastard Evan is hiding from us!” Jiren cheered as the other young men and women laughed or roared in agreement.
