June Behind the Scenes Part 2

Happy end of June! I hope everyone's staying cool. It's hovered around 110 here and every day is an "Excessive Heat Warning." We just move from one air-conditioned place to the next to hide from the sun.

Volume 4 Updates

Comt is finishing up the first four illustrations, so I thought it'd be fun to show you guys some of the upcoming references we put together. We really lucked out with Comt, as she loves reading the chapters and getting the scene just right.

So first is Ry's fucking nightmare-fuel of a Chikara. His monster creation is on another level.

Matt vs. Glitter was one of our favorite scenes. I think Chapter 157 is a great example of the power of dialogue. Every character feels unique, down to Matt chatting with Ai. Plus, the idea of Matt pinning this thing down was too funny not to have drawn.

The Third Shell of Rājadhānī is an interesting one. Many of the buildings were built in the same style as the Second and First Shells, but lack of maintenance and overpopulation ran them ragged.
