Hey all,
So today we have another installment of Before/After shots. These shots are going to specifically focus on the dorm room at night which will end the planned demo. I have a ton more images done but most of those are actually for the following update, we're just finishing up some audio stuff over here before that first Remake Demo gets dropped.
Also, I'm going to announce this on Twitter as well as in a public post but the Demo will be FREE and open to the public when it drops. It's very short and I don't want to falsely lure people in by putting it behind a paywall. It will give people a better idea of what to expect moving forward. Plus, it completely mimics the original release of the game and I kinda like that. However, all updates after that will be the typical Patreon early access for the $5 tier then free 3 weeks later

So the first image is from the original game and is the typical fully dressed Braden at night time that we see on the way back from the showers on the first night. Nothing real special about here. Basically, back then, the only way I got an image dark was to darken the tone. Unfortunately, that darkens everything including skin color-- which can look a little weird.
The Next 2 images are from the Revamp

The second image is what will replace image 1. The camera has been zoomed out more to give a better angle. I also shared this shot to give you a little taste of the room lighting changes. The night-lights over the beds will be a bit brighter than before and should give us a little better glow to the faces while they're laying in bed. This will help with expressions and conversational elements that we'll see later (as well as obviously letting you see a bit more skin later). You can also see that there's a soft blue glow coming in the window to simulate moonlight. Yes, this world is going to have bright-ass moons... like all the time because I'm not changing it to reflect the lunar phases, lol. But the contrast of the moonlight in there should be something fresh and give it some depth. There's some better shots of this that I'll save for the actual update.

The last image is from Zack's bed and should give you an idea of depth within the room using depth of field and natural blurs. It'll also give you an idea of some of the angles we may be seeing during the night shots later. It's also a decent angle to show off more moonlight and the lamp that's gonna stay on during the night for an added lighting affect. The original game had the lamp turned on the it wasn't reflecting much light at all so it was never noticeable.
