Small bug-fixes update
Added 2022-08-22 13:07:04 +0000 UTCHey everyone,
I wanted to release a quick bug-fixes update to solve out the most annoying bugs encountered in the last release. It's not that much but I got the most "game breaking" ones. So, the following got fixed :
- Fixed the "black screen" bug after talking for the second time to the child ghost.
- The lab game should reset without the need to restart the game if you talk to the assistant.
- The "starving" animation should properly reset when you've ate enough food. If you seems to be stuck even after eating, try to hit the "run" hotkey. I'll continue working on improving the food system because I don't feel it hit the right string right now.
And with that I made a small pass on various little bugs here and here.
The update can be downloaded at the usual link (https://abdlsparrow.itch.io/the-pacifier-project-minor-releases/patreon-access ).
With that all done, I'll focus on new content now !

2022-08-28 00:26:03 +0000 UTCI know that the game is still early in development so I hope I didn't sound too harsh, based on what I have played it has a lot of potential and I look forward to seeing more.

2022-08-24 18:49:59 +0000 UTCI'm very sorry to read that you got frustrated. I hope you can forgive that kind of development hurdle. There's actually plenty of good ideas in what you wrote here. I have to organize things a bit and think about how this could translate in game. On the UI side, again, I hear your concerns. A lot of it is placeholder for now and don't show the player enough informations. That's why review like your own help me a lot to identify where peoples are getting confused and where to put focus. I'l'll be sure to take all of this into account.
2022-08-23 16:16:11 +0000 UTCYes I was using the most current version of the game, further more near the end of my last play through this issue forced me to restart the game and load a save repeatedly as that was the fastest way I found to get rid of the starved status effect. I also get that this is the incentive for the ABDL part so throwing it out entirely is probably not an option so instead I am going to suggest you take some game dev liberties and make this mechanic easier to deal with for the player, namely even if digestion may take time instead of the starved status lingering after you eat something let the moment the player eats something be when the physical effects of the status goes away as in its current form it slows down the gameplay significantly. When I first played this game without reading any other comments I had no clue what was going on and almost rage quit out of frustration as nothing ingame told me that my character's stomach was the size of a walnut nor was there anything really to indicate to me I was hungry or how much food I had in my stomach at any given moment and nothing I did from eating or going to the bathroom seemed to fix it, personally I thought it was a game braking bug which was why I waited for the latest update before posting anything. Currently the only thing that relates to hunger is a pic of a stomach that is either a placeholder or who's changes are so subtle that there is no real way of telling what you are feeling until you have the actual starved status effect so in its current form is all but useless instead some kind of percentage gauge or meter representing how much food you have in you and how long until it is digested may be a better choice. Another option to consider to encourage people to eat would be after a time suffering from starved status is for the PC to simply feint after which the PC will awake in a bed fully fed and no longer being effected by the starved status either at home, in a hospital (que hospital ABDL scenes), or in a lab (ABDL experiments ahoy) with where the PC wakes up could depend on what map they were last on, this would make it rather obvious to the player about what happened encouraging them not to go too long without eating something, this would also work as a fix for a player that runs out of money to buy more food rather then hobbling them for extended periods of time with the starved status until they can get something to eat, finally this could also open up options for time progression in the game.

2022-08-23 15:16:39 +0000 UTCThanks for your review. Did you feel like you had to overeat even on the last release? Keep in mind that food take time to be digested and it add up, so if you chain-consume 12 burgers, it will not be in your stomach for around 5 minutes. I probably have make it better explained in game with a tutorial or something like that. I can understand that this feel tedious for now. The balance is probably way off and I'll adjust it. I don't want to scrap it because it's the main incentive that make you eat (and therefore link to the continence system), and I believe it's better to have a gameplay loop that enforce the ABDL side of the game (ie : having to eat so you can trigger accident/desperation). Thus, the starving is here to encourage players to eat. But as you pointed out, it probably happen far too often right now and I'll tune it far down. As for your UI concern, I got that in mind. The statut screen already exist in the character screen but it's placeholder for now. For the food meter, you can use the Body Scanner item that is available in this build.
2022-08-23 10:48:29 +0000 UTCSo after playing your game for awhile I have a few things that I need to say first and foremost would it be possible to turn off the starving status effect (or whatever causes the status for when the PC hunches over and starts walking really slowly is) even if its done with a debug command or get rid of it all together as I feel like my character's stomach would have exploded from overeating 10 times over by now and I have this happen every 3 to 5 mins in game where the PC just slows down to a crawl because they need more food its not fun and down right painful. If you are dead set on keeping the mechanic in may I suggest making it so it takes a REALLY LONG TIME before it happens and if the player eats anything at all it goes away again for a REALLY LONG TIME like 20mins in game time, as fixing it means buying A LOT of food and then eating alot of food then not having any money to do anything else (provided that it does go away as sometimes even after eating 12 burgers and 8 drinks I still have the effect). Second there is no way of knowing When the PC is hungry so a actual food meter of some sort displaying how much energy you have from food would be nice to deal with this issue, furthermore a status screen somewhere that tells the player what kinds of status' are effecting their character (ie frightened, starving ect) as to clue you in on what to do to fix the condition would also be nice. lastly while the pics for the bowels and bladder is fine I feel like the pic for the stomach needs much more detail especially when hunger is concerned.
