So actually the thing they have said most often about this performance is that is was insanely COLD. Kai gets sweaty when he dances, on his face and hair, but those Gucci jackets weren't for keeping the wind out...Apparently Kai's ankle was bothering him at this time as well...but, he's a true professional. Didn't hold back ONE iota.

2024-05-24 05:31:45 +0000 UTCThe Winter Olympics has always been a favorite of mine because I love the ice skating, speed skating, bobsled and skiing competitions, for years. When I heard Exo would perform I lost my mind. I knew South Korea was picked for a future Winter Olympics years before, and I had gotten into Kpop in 2006. So I was an Exol since 2011. I'm the same age as D.O. so I kind of grew up with Exo. Growl (ooh-doo-dong) was already a Korean anthem as deemed by the Korean President Moon, and he was the one who suggested Exo perform as they were literal superstars at the time. I was out of my mind. The Olympics Committee President and The Korean President also congratulated Exo with special made commemorative medals, at an Olympic meeting on national TV. They were under glass but they got to take them out and hold them for the cameras. Exo were invited to The Blue House (like our White House) by President Moon and got to meet and shake hands with President Trump and Ivanka, she supposedly was a fan, and Suho presented her with their album cd. During the first week of all the Olympics hoopla, there was a televised State of Affairs meeting on tv for some Olympic diplomatic engagement, and in front of an audience of dignitaries and the Korean President, Baekhyun sung the Korean National Anthem. ππΊ

When I heard Exo were performing, I was out of my mind. My group, who were actual kpop superstars at the time, were asked by the Olympic committees by request of the President of Korea, to perform, and "Growl" was a national anthem for Korea for a few years already, and deemed so by the Korean President. Exo got their very own commemorative medals made for them and presented to them vy the President of Korea and the Olympics president on National TV during all the hoopla for the Olympics during the first week. And at a National Olympics Affairs of State Conference before the Olympics, in an auditorium full of president's and dignitaries, Baekhyun sung the Korean National Anthem. ππΊ
