2024-04-09 15:50:04 +0000 UTCHi Laken, this is Sony (Kyungsoo Sings) This is an iconic performance from the TokyoDome Exordium Tour concert. This is the intro, and this specific concert won "Concert of the Year" this specific year, I believe 2017, just before Lay was going to China to make his first solo album, with every intention to return to Exo right after. But as China and South Korean political situations arose, (THAAD to be specific, you can look it up), China started to barr anyone from engaging with South Korea, and Lay laid low and just focused on his music until things died down. Therefore this Exordium Tour was the last one that Lay participated in at the time. But this is the exact concert that the Artificial Love medley is from. And yes their stamina is incredibly impressive, as it is known that in trainee days, they practiced singing whilst on treadmills regularly to produce such stamina. This Exordium concert in it's entirety (3 hours long) is available on YT, and I've had the pleasure of watching it with a couple of my other Patreon subs over the years, in parts of course...just in case you may consider it yourself, it would be such a thrill. And yes, the Japan concerts are superior to Seoul ones, since all of the Japan ones have better camerawork, staging, sound system, just everything....as much of Japan Exo concerts are filmed for DVDs. 2024-04-02 05:03:01 +0000 UTCI know that SM has very intense training for their idols before they debut, and probably while they are rookies as well, to be able to sing and dance. This is a remixed version of the song, so the middle part with the screen and the dancing and Baek and Chen having a vocal battle...that was all added for the purposes of this concert only. Same with Power in the other live you watched. That was a remixed version as well, so the parts that you liked, particularly from that performance, were not part of the original song. They also did that version of the song for some of their award show performances, as well as when they performed at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Which was a major slay! As I was saying at the beginning though...I do believe that idols, and SM idols in particular, do some pretty intense physical training before they begin touring...BECAUSE it is so much moving around and singing. I think it is akin to what their rookie training was. In SHINee's song 'Our Page' (tear jerker...) the video shows the 4 members going about their life, and they are all busy with the things they were busy with during the time when Jonghyun passed away. For Taemin, it shows him at the gym, and I remember someone saying that he was preparing for his concert tour, and I was like, why is he at the gym...and then I thought about what EXO concerts are like, and it hit me, duh. They have to build up that stamina! So yeah, it's a physically intensive time for all idols, before and during concerts...

It sounds more "live" because it doesn't have as much post production, and the Baek dance break is even MORE amazing. Kai isn't in it, because he was injured, but he was still there, and singing his parts...
