The memes were super famous lol Jokes aside, Nina was a very controversial character in Japan and there was a lot online hate like memes, videos, graphics etc. even before the scene because the character was "racist" towards Japanese. I guess you should check it out after watching the show but there is lots of Nina stuff

That shot appeared so randomly, it catches the most people off-guard. xD You might recognize the person on the picture that she was looking at while doing it. I also think you missed an interesting shot at 13:33, might want to check it out again. Regarding Shirley's father: He wasn't a soldier, just a civilian that got caught in the landslide that Zero triggered during the battle against Cornelia. The landslide hit a nearby city and the wrapped bodys we saw in that hall were civilian casualties from that event. Goes to show that Lelouche's actions can't remain without consequences and collateral damage in the long run. Also next episode will already have a new opening but 95% of the visuals are still the same, just remixed and with a new song.
