Oh, so it's pretty much confirmed that Snake was a Varangian then... I demand a Snake spin-off series or at least OVA! xD I really like him as well.

You probably meant Byzantine Empire. btw even as a manga reader, I don't know about it, but if anime would become popular enough they might animate the missed adventure (time skipped) and include some connections with Snake backstory
