For some movie trivia... Captain Hook is played by Dustin Hoffman (VA for Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda) and Rufio played by Dante Basco (VA for Prince Zuko in Avatar the Last Airbender)!

2024-08-28 05:07:01 +0000 UTCOh, look, I wasn't the first to comment. First, I'll thoroughly agree about the bloating. I especially disliked the lost boys' sequences, way too much focus on them. I never understood why Rufio had to be killed, either. Sure, the pirates were slaughtered en masse, but they're bad guys. Apart from the performances, the thing that really enchants me is John Williams music. The soaring main theme brings to mind every other brilliant fantasy film he's scored, e.g. Harry Potter, E.T., Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, etc. Thanks for enduring it, mate.

2024-08-28 04:59:09 +0000 UTCI agree with you in that it dragged on for a while. They could’ve edited alot of the lost boys segments where they’re ‘training’ him more. It seemed to slow down the story alot. And you’re right. 2 and a hslf hours is WAY too long to tell this story. It could’ve been perfect in 1 hour and 45 minutes. Shave off 30 minutes and it might be more tolerable. BUT, being the patient fool that I am, I STILL get emotional over some of the scenes.
