The kid who played the main character voice is also the guy who played Peeta in the Hunger Games

Same I never thought it was meant to be a "it was all a dream" type of story.

Such a good movie! I grew up watching this every Christmas and I cry just at the opening music and the first monolgue. I cry basically every 2 minutes when I watch it now!

The first time I watched it, I thought it was a dream until the end when Santa's sleigh bell turned up as a present under the tree. The 2 parents couldn't hear it and thought it was broken, so they couldn't have gotten him that bell. At that point I figured it was the spirit of Christmas itself doing this every year. Urging the spirits of some children to go see the North Pole and Santa Clause on a grand adventure that takes place in the spirit realm or the astral plane. And Santa himself lives in that plane of existence, disappearing from that world into our real world to deliver gifts to children. Maybe I'm thinking too deep into it though.

I never saw it as a dream weirdly enough but always as if the magic exists and it train really was there. Probably down to my wild imagination and love of Peter Pan and Harry Potter

I've always been a fan of the score. It has a beautiful theme song and a very imaginative mashup of holiday favorites. I agree with Dillon about their eyes.

Im easily scared.
I was not allowed to watch The Christmas Carol when i was younger, because my parents and brother told me i would find it really scary.
I think i watched it a few years ago for the first time and yes it was creepy, but not so much i would get nightmares and i actually like it. The CGI is not the best, as in 'it could be better' but i think it makes this and that film pretty good looking actually.
Also at the beginning of this film, the moment they reveal the train, is a beautiful shot. It always gives me chills.

"Is this a Christmad movie, because you requested it fairly early".
Yes, i asked if it was okay to request a Christmas film because i want you to watch two xD. You said it was okay hahaha.
You forgot but i think its funny.
Im glad you loved it so much. I also think the message behind this film is very special and i always end up crying at the end.
Throughout the film, people always think: 'is this a dream?'.
And at the end of the film he got the bell while he is wide awake.
I dont know how to put it in words, but the whole film was based on his doubts and if he believes, they all have their own journey and are all questioning themself if its a dream or not. I think its a very powerfull film and very well written.
Also, Tom Hanks did 5 voices. He voiced almost every male in this film hahaha.
The soundtrack is one of my favourites ! Its so beautiful, heartwarming, gives you hope and love.

This is the period when Robert Zemeckis, who didn’t seem so crazy using SFX technology with Forrest Gump and Roger Rabbit, thought he’d found the “secret” to making quick and easy CGI movies by giving actors green-ping-pong-ball motion capture suits instead of hiring animators—Professional animators thought the results looked cheap and unnatural, and audiences thought they looked sort of creepy, but he was so excited, his new studio pumped out five more.
This one seems to have found some forgiving fans, but when Disney wanted him to do another Christmas movie with the Jim Carrey “A Christmas Carol”, the results were deranged nightmare fuel, and you don’t want to see what he almost did with an unfinished remake of the Beatles’ animated “Yellow Submarine”…. 😰
