It totally does depend on humour, I enjoyed HIMYM (it did get slow for me later on, but I did finish it) and I do find the rewatch value on it pretty good, its also pretty damn quotable. Like it's easy to pull up references from the show and equate it to life, (ex: the 'reacher and settler' joke) but FRIENDS imo hit different. I adored FRIENDS, its my comfort show (probably is for a lot of ppl), it just never gets old to me. I love all the characters, they all kinda take turns in being my favourite, but they're all lovable. The cast did a phenomenal job in creating such a familiar group of people. Even if you don't personally know people like that irl, FRIENDS has a way of making its characters and storylines feel so lived in and familiar.

I guess what you prefer depends on your sense of humor. For me, the jokes in HIMYM never clicked. The show never cracked me up. The most it got out of me was a chuckle and eventually it got boring so I dropped it. But every episode of friends has me laughing out loud. Whenever I'm in a bad mood I know for sure that Friends can make me laugh, that's why I love it. I give Friends 10/10 but I can't rate HIMYM because it's been so long since I dropped it, I don't remember most of the jokes.

But will the other four slaps happen sometime during the rest of the series? Inquiring minds need to know. Also curious to find out how Barney saw Marshall's penis.
