There’s been an explosion in channels where people watch movies, or other things, and react to them. My personal favorite is Cinebinge, because it is hosted by two young Canadians who have three very important things going for them.
1. They seem nice.
2. They seem cool.
3. They are both EXTREMELY emotionally expressive.
Simone, particularly, turns into a Margaret Keane painting when she is sad.
Below, I’ll provide three great examples of their expressiveness.
These links will be horrendous spoilers for three excellent movies, so please, only click on them if you’ve already seen the films in question. If you haven’t, consider this my unreserved recommendation that you watch all three of them if they seem interesting at all.
To show you the sad eyes, here is the big twist at the end of Men in Black 3. (about 28 minutes into the video, if YouTube fails to jump there automatically. Originally, I had a link to Godzilla Minus One here, but that video appears to no longer be available.)
And here, at the opposite end of the emotional spectrum, is the med-bay scene from The Thing. (14:50 into the video, again, in case the link starts you at the beginning for some reason.)
And, for good measure, the “Trophy” fight from Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. (22 minutes in.)
Oh, BTW, I was recently interviewed for the Dabble podcast. Please go check it out, if you like.
