How to Discuss Movies You Haven’t Seen
Added 2024-04-29 07:00:01 +0000 UTCAs I write this, I have not yet seen Godzilla x Kong. It takes a lot to lure me into a theater, but a film that promises King Kong swinging an ax while riding into a fight on Godzilla’s back nicely fits my definition of “a lot.”
They’ve made Godzilla vs. Kong, and now Godzilla x Kong. Where can they go from there? Can’t do Godzilla Meets Kong because they’ve already met. Jumping straight to multiplication for the current title means they can’t really backtrack to Godzilla + Kong. Besides, that suggests romance. In this comic, I sort of suggest that anyway. If they want to lean into it, they could use Godzilla Loves Kong, which I don’t like, as a title. It reminds me of Joanie Loves Chachi, and compares Kong to Scott Baio’s second greatest role.
