I thought you guys would have recognised Dilly from Kaithi. Kaithi and Vikram share the same universe

2022-07-12 17:51:44 +0000 UTCThis was a surprise ☺️ I'll give you some context which you obviously would get on YouTube too. 1) I don't know if you realized it, but this movie is connected to Kaithi. So, the masked man whom you confused to be Suriya is actually the police officer from Kaithi, who confiscated the 2 containers worth of substance in Kaithi 2) That is exactly the 2 containers which everyone was after in this movie. Which is why Arjun Das and Harish are in the climax of the movie. They even say, the Trichy bust was because of Dilli (which is the name of the protagonist in Kaithi) 3) Then it cuts to that drilling machine, where we see Dilli's daughter and his side-kick from Kaithi. And we hear Dilli's voice, which says "Hymn from Kaithi" 4) The next movie in this "franchise" is Kaithi 2, where Suriya as Rolex might end up being the main villain and it will somehow connect with Vikram 2 where Amar (Fahadh Faasil), Vikram (Kamal) and Dilli (Karthi) will go against Rolex (Suriya) 5) And like you mentioned, this is a spiritual sequel to a movie from the 1980s called Vikram, where Kamal plays a spy. It is implied to be the same character 40 odd years later, in his old age. 6) Also, one of the characters which is killed in the beginning, Stephen Raj, he is the police guy from Kaithi who secretly works for the Villian (Arjun Das) and tips him about the containers which result in all those chases and fights. That's why he is also killed by Kamal and masked men in the beginning 7) One last thing. This movie happens in 2019, 3 months after Kaithi. If you see the dates at the beginning of the movie, it shows its 2019 as the timeline.
