Obviously, that's just a methaphor, Brenner exploited childrens and all but if I'm only focusing on the Eleven part, he just always wanted her to uses her full potential to beat Henry or the others creatures there might be in the Upside Down. So in his final moment, at the same time I wanted El to tell him that she understand and at the same time, I knew it would make much more sense for her to not answer to that and just leave. But I still find his death kinda ""sad"" in a way, but I'm still glad we don't have him anymore.

In season 1, like everyone else I hated him and I was the first to be like "Yes !" when he "died" eaten by a demogorgon. But this season, I was like in a way, he wants the exact same thing as Owens he just take more drastic measures. Just for a "methaphor", I kinda see it like two parents who both would be afraid to let her teen go out at night and all, but one would take on him and let the child go out anyway while the other would like forbid him to go out. Even tough, you don't like the way the second parent handle things that doesn't mean you hate him and want him to die (even if that's what you might said on the moment).
