How to Deal With a Mistake

Some people don’t like it when Rick wins one. The most notable person who doesn’t like it is the real Ric. Once, after a string of comics where Rick made fun of me, the real Ric called me and scolded me for it. His position is that it’s out of character for Rick to win in any way. Personally, I believe Rick needs to come out on top every now and then or the relationship will begin to feel like abuse.

Also, the thing about this particular comic is that it’s true. I looked at my wardrobe and found that it is made up almost entirely of “performance fabric” shirts, some of which actually have the logos of golf companies, but I do not golf. Dressing like a golfer and not golfing could be described as a “worst case scenario.”

I got into this mess by living in Orlando Florida, then moving to Phoenix Arizona. Both places are hot and full of guys in my age/weight range who golf. Golf clothes are plentiful, affordable, and climate appropriate. And there’s nothing wrong with dressing like a golfer occasionally. (When you’re golfing, for instance.) But I’m rocking nothing but golf clothes, and that has to stop. The problem is, I still do live in Phoenix, and I don’t know what else to wear, except maybe a Fremen Stillsuit.

I've re-read this one a few times, it's really funny

Over the last 20 years, I have lived somewhere on the Gulf Coast. My wardrobe is definitely performance fabric chic, though it leans toward the runner end of the spectrum.
