And to be clear, Zemo wasn't a part of Hydra, he hated Hydra and especially theirs super-soldiers, that's why he killed the ones that were cryogenized. And now, about in the episode itself, Zemo is also rich in the comics and his "villain name" is Baron Zemo and he wears the purple mask that he wears in this episode.

2022-08-02 15:05:41 +0000 UTCThen when Tony, Steve and Bucky got there, they realize that Zemo had killed all the super-soldiers and then on a screen they look at an old footage of Bucky (as the Winter Soldier obviously) killing Howard and Maria Stark (Tony's parents). Then Tony tries to kill Bucky while Steve is trying to stop him. Zemo then explained to T'challa (Black Panther) why he did all of this and that was because while fighting Ultron in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, the Avengers accidentally kill a lot of people including Zemo's dad, wife and son. He then tries to kill himself but T'challa stop him and then take him to prison. 2/3

He was the one that killed T'chaka (T'challa's father) while wearing a mask of Bucky to frame him for it wich resulted in the Avengers fighting each other. And then when Tony and Steve finally kind made peace with each other, Zemo bring them to a secret location where Hydra had kept others super-soldiers like Bucky. 1/3
