Earlier this year I was asked to be on a Sonic Adventure 2 tribute album which was the perfect excuse to do a jazzy lofi rendition of one of my favorite songs from the game. After doing a metal version of it last year, I've wanted to revisit it and make a much calmer version, and for that I brought with me Michael Garrett Steele on saxophone once again. This is probably the most acoustic instruments I've had on a lofi cover, and next year I'm hoping to continue this trend. I think this is also the first lofi cover I've done that has solo sections (trading off between Garrett on saxophone and me on acoustic guitar). This whole album was an incredible undertaking across multiple genres and I actually also contributed three metal covers to it as well. Be sure to check out the full album on Spotify put together by Hotline Sehwani and Melodies Zone, and until next time, stay Scary.
