Crush Corp Early-Alpha Roadmap

Heya, Pecu here. First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for the positive feedback and support! Working on this has been a dream of mine for a while, so it's awesome to see people excited for what's to come. In light of that, I've taken the time to put together a post concerning the plan for the game!

A quick note:
Before the first build and hotfix, the whole team had been working pretty intensively for a long time to get the game out and playable. There were a few technical issues that arose during this time that forced me to delay release until I could solve them. While we were keeping people relatively informed on the discord, there was a general lack of updates on the Patreon itself. We apologize for this and plan to be much more communicative in the future. This post would have been made earlier, but everyone was pretty exhausted after the release and needed a bit of a break.

Anyway, on with the plans!

DISCLAIMER:
Any and all details mentioned below are subject to change and may be cut or altered if deemed appropriate.


Short Term:
I'm planning on releasing a minor update which will contain some bugfixes, quality of life features, and the Evie event which didn't make it into the initial build. As part of this event, you will be able to talk with the girl by responding via the dialogue system. These features are nearly complete and an updated build will be posted as soon as they are ready.


The Coming Months:
Going forward, we are going to be focusing on implementing more events, interactions with the girls, and more stuff to do in the tower.

Interaction
Physical, hands-on activities are coming in more ways than one. Fully integrated with struggle mechanics, prepare to be picked up and handled by Emi herself during your "performance review." Researchers participating in her "reviews" will be forced to endure various forms of physical stress through the duration of the activity. These mechanics will carry over to the other girls in different forms as well. Other forms of interaction such as climbing are also planned.

Events
Though disclosing the details of new events would go into spoiler territory, I can say that we already have an additional event fully animated and ready for implementation. The difficulty of implementing new events varies, but you can expect to see a relatively consistent stream of them as development goes on. More signals will naturally be added alongside these as well.

Relationship System
This will be first introduced soon, but will become more fleshed out over time. It constitutes two primary facets:
- Appeasement
- Romance
To clarify, some girls you might be able to successfully date as you would in other games. While others might be more expectant and put more demands on the player. Both of these will entail making appropriate conversation with the girls, gift-giving, cleaning the tower, and performing well in various activities to ensure positive relations. You can expect more hands-on interaction as your relationship deepens, and eventually dedicated endings for each girl.

Tower Mechanics
As you most likely noticed, there presently isn't a whole lot to do in the tower itself while waiting on girls to drop by. Many mechanics are already planned out and designed, but were not implemented in favor of big girl stuff for the initial build. These activities will be added progressively along with other aspects of development and include the following:
- Potion Crafting/Chemistry (For you know what)
- Server Maintenance
- Power Management
- Cooking & Farming
- Military Coordination

Stomp Game-Mode
The current iteration of the stomp game mode with Aerona is very much proof-of-concept and still needs a cohesive gameplay loop in addition to general refinement. The completed gameplay mode will feature more animations, more accurate targeting, better tiny AI, and (importantly) player goals and mechanics. This will constitute things like saving tinies, grabbing movement/health buffs, and rewards based on your performance.

VR Support
Gameplay within the tower is being designed with VR in mind, and testing has already been done this aspect. Sometime early next year we intend to release the first VR version so you can experience everything in a much more immersive fashion. Full-body tracking is also planned, though this might take a bit longer depending on how things go.


Long Term:
There are many things we intend to add beyond the immediate future, including the ability to drive vehicles, explore the larger tower, and test out various different gameplay modes. The complexity of the various game modes will vary significantly, with some being very basic, single-purpose survival-based scenarios (think getting crushed, squeezed, and entrapped). While others will entail more fleshed out, longer gameplay experiences. Some concepts for game modes include the following:
- Evasion platformer
- Hide & Seek
- Aerial Bullet Hell
- Lite RPG
- Etc.

Additionally, there are "chapters" planned, which will entail the introduction of new girls and going to different levels other than the tower. These will oftentimes advance an overall narrative while also introducing long-term mechanics going forward once completed. The nature of these chapters will be divulged in more detail as their release approaches, but are all planned to be very, very sizey.

We know the scope of this game is very ambitious, which is why we're planning on releasing updates progressively over the course of several years as they become ready. By the time the game is fully complete, you'll be able to have full relationships with all main girls, participate in various interactions with them, play various game modes, and more. There should be no shortage of anything size-related.

Regarding Animations:
Now that the initial build has finally released, Lajest will be able to return to crafting the animations you're familiar with soon. Given that I'm spearheading the game's development, along with Blu-ray and others helping to produce animations and other aspects, both aspects of this project will be able to continue simultaneously. Specific things to expect going forward will be returning to Grand Dawn and general animations.

can we get font size and text speed controls? for those with low vision please. also, would be helpful to have our current task tracked on the hud somewhere. if you miss what they said cuz the text goes fast, you kind of don't know what to do next lol.

Biggest issue for me (probably an individual problem, but still... I CANNOT properly use the Soul Sync equipment with the controls as they are. My scroll wheel is problematic, and there are no alternative inputs for the dials. I kinda wish I had "increase/ decrease" buttons because even with the R-Delta set at +0.01, the soul sync shifts too fast (my scroll wheel also isn't helping).

Pls sync the singnal with events. For example, when Evie is coming, the Evie's singnal will be detected only. It will have stronger immersion.

Upgradet the membership because of the game, but it seems like it's buggy for me to the point, where I can't really play. All I do is downloading signals but I can't use the mail system. Only thing that happened was the Shizuku ending. Praying for an update soon, because from what it looks like, it looks hella enjoyable.

Good luck with all of that guys. Focus on small steps so you don't get discouraged, the game looks very fine, and promising too. I just hope you'll be able to get to the finish line, it's a rare sight in the genre of games. You have my full support ! Also I'm eager to try VR when it'll come out :)

It's great to see your efforts paying off. The alpha was fun to play, albeit very limited. It's left me curious to see what else can be done, inside and outside the tower. Keep up the good work and don't give up. I can't wait to hear more from you! Keep your ambition high 💙
