Uh, bad news, we've still got 2012, aka "Best Moments From Every Other 00's Roland Emmerich Eco-disaster Film" highlight-reel, just in time for "Moonfall" to remind us of them. And that's coming from someone who thought Street Fighter wasn't so bad. Oh, and if heβs going with sequels, weβll probably get Shrek the Third, so there's that, too.

2022-01-21 19:38:30 +0000 UTCFor reasons Iβve never yet figured out, fans always have a murderous dislike of the movie for not being the movie they THOUGHT it was going to be. (That would probably be the 90's Japanese-anime movie, and you're free to watch that.) Those who sat through the '98 Godzilla trying to be a "comedy" know exactly what you're going through. But defenders of the movie like it for what it IS--We had just had the looney-in-a-bad-way Super Mario Bros. movie, which bore absolutely no resemblance, when this movie came out, and there was just something about the convoluted way they got all the characters into their iconic suits by the end of this movie that you somehow buy into. The director liked the game (he said he played it with his kids, on the commentary), and it shows. It's one of those you hate on first watch when you didn't get what you imagined, and then five years later, it shows up on TV, and you find yourself watching the first Ryu vs. Vega scene and thinking, "...Why did I HATE this?? π β

2022-01-21 19:30:10 +0000 UTCDid you know that Bison's actor had terminal stomach cancer when they were filming this and he was on chemo? You can't tell from his performance at all tho! They even altered the filming schedule to accommodate his therapy. Died a little after the movie was released. :( This is his last movie. Van dam had other problems ... drugs problems. I have something I like much better. Just figured you might be interested as a fan of the game? Even if it's just for your own private viewing.
