Just want to share my process, this is by no means a tutorial, but it might help you out!
I start off with two equal sized palms, then roll out snakes with a rounded end as fingers. They're all equal thickness, except the thumbs which are thicker. They're all longer than they need to be!
I trim them to size and at an angle, placing them on the top of the hand piece. I do this one by one
I mold the clay down the hand and across the knuckles
I repeat with the other hand, comparing the two as I place the fingers to make sure they're equal
I place the thumb on the opposite side and mold it into place. Right now, the meat of the hand isn't really there, but I'll be filling it in later
I now bend the fingers into their pose. I don't really do knuckles, they're sort of "rubber hose"
If I have props, I make sure they're already baked so they don't get squished
I put aside props, and I roll out some snakes for wrists. I mold them on, poke an awl through for my wire, then trim excess.
I put the props back in place, using sculpey "bake and bond" which is kinda a polymer clay adhesive liquid. I also brush it into the seam of the fingers and palm to fill in those gaps. Then I bake!
And here they're baked, but looking a bit flat.
I use apoxie sculpt to add knuckles. I like mine slightly exaggerated
I add some meat to the palms of the hands as well
And also nails!
And here they are finished!
