btw its never mentionned in the show but jamie didnt choose to join the kingsguard, he was "honored" by the mad king , it was a way to get back at tywin. A huge humiliation, the heir of house lannister in tywin eyes would not take any wife , have no children and will protect a man hes father hate.anothing reason why he ended up banging his sister lol
