Looking closely, you can see that Harold voted for himself so that he can restore honor to his team since he brought dishonor to the team with being controlling and wouldn't shut up, sorta making them lose the challenge. So he left because back then the way a samurai restores honor is by seppuku aka ritual suicide but in this case it’s him leaving the show. This is also why he stabbed himself with a lightsaber because with seppuku you basically take a blade and stab yourselve in the stomach and slice it horizontally then fall back or forward to ensure death.
