This is gonna sound like an underrated comment, but I lowkey think the next show after avatar is better. Korra story is so adult, i just love it. At least we all, korra haters and lovers can agree that the villains on that show are TOP TIER. So after you finish avatar, youll have korra, which will play heavily on your nostalgia cuz there will be alot of mentions to that show, so it feels like a REWARD for completing avatar last air bender

Everything has character! It's hard for me now to watch many kids shows as an adult but goodness this show has me almost in a chokehold xD

But most importantly, this show has great representation of diversity and it's a really fun show with great characters that I think Christene would love :) We Bare Bears is also a good show. It's very comforting and tame compared to other cartoon shows. Kid Cosmic( just because it's an underrated show) super short with a comic book influences. Young Justice is really good as well if you like DC Universe :) Finally, Symbiotic Titan( a show that was really good, but got cancelled too soon).

2025-02-27 00:19:33 +0000 UTCmadoka magica is one i want you to see most of all, its an anime and fairly short (like 12 episodes) but you get really invested in the story. theres one movie out for it already and theres another movie coming out towards the end of this year. one note about this show is to avoid all spoilers! its best watched completely blind. if you want something thats lighthearted but longer than i’d say my little pony friendship is magic, 9 seasons and it’s surprisingly really good, the characters all have growth and you see them change as you watch. there are a bunch of movies to go along with it aswell

If we're talking about shows, I would suggest if you have not seen it, Legend of korra. As it is more adult story wise compared to avatar last air bender. Has the best villains in a cartoon series, very political so opens the door to discussion

Let’s be heroes”, it’s a really fun show to watch, and the characters are amazing. fun fact: ok k.o’s creator is Ian Jones Quartey, rebecca sugar’s partner.

And ugh I wish that the show wasn't freaking cut because we could have had so much more. And UGH I wish Rebecca Sugar would create something else for me to enjoy as well. I think if you haven't already watched these, either O.K KO Let's Be Heroes! which is created by Rebecca Sugar's husband and is a really great Cartoon Network show that aired a little after SU or the show Infinity Train which is another personal fav of mine as it touches on self-improvement and different types of struggles!
