Mewni's monarchy is dictated by queens not kings. Also it would be a spoiler to say Heinous's backstory because that'll be talked about in the future.. But what I will say is some of your theories are correct about Eclipsa and Heinous. The most I can say about Heinous that's not a spoiler, is that Ms. Heinous worked at a reform school for troubled princesses and so you can theorize how she ended up being the head mistress there.
