How the Breast Was Won Version 0.1.0 Release!

Here we are! The initial version of How the Breast Was Won is ready to go! I've spent the past several days chasing down some (usually dumb) bugs and errors and typos. I'm SURE I've missed some. I always do. If you find anything that seems off, please don't hesitate to let me know. There are a lot more subsystems that I'm working with this time around, so there's plenty more that can get broken. Hopefully, though, there's not much that I've missed.
As always, you guys, my supporters, are the ones who make this possible. If you have ANY feedback, good or bad, please don't hesitate to let me know. I want to ensure I'm putting out a good product just as much as you do.
Anyway, enjoy Day 1 of How the Breast Was Won! I can't wait to dive back into work on it after a brief rest this coming week.

2024-07-19 01:19:49 +0000 UTCOh I was thinking it was a binary "if you have >= X stat pass, otherwise fail". and no I was making new characters (so I could also check other dialogue and whatnot), but again because I assumed it was merely a flat stat requirement, I only checked it once or twice with low str.

2024-07-15 23:18:49 +0000 UTCAll great notes, thanks! Most of those are simple issues, and I already know exactly what caused the issue with the info screen's clothing entry. It'll be item 1 on the next update. As for the fitness check, were you just using "undo" and retrying? The way the RNG in Harlowe works is based on a seed generated when you begin the game. If you don't start a new game or change the order you did things, it will always generate the same number in that particular instance, so using undo and retrying would still yield the exact same result.

Updates will not focus on adding days to the game, as that is simply a counter of time in the game after the "prologue" of Day 1. Going forward, updates will focus on adding in specific locations and events into the setting for you to interact with. Hopefully that makes sense.

2024-07-15 22:14:35 +0000 UTCThe name screen doesn't account for hitting enter, so you could name yourself something like test test test and then it applies the same line breaks in the game. doesn't seem to break anything per se, but something to be mindful of. Is there no fail state for the fitness check? It seems like I get the same result whether I have 0 or 4 points. If you open the info screen on the clothing selection page there's an error: Clothing: Your clothing consists of You can only access position strings/numbers ('4th', 'last', '2ndlast', (2), etc.), slices ('1stTo2ndlast', '3rdTo5th'), 'length', 'some', 'any', 'all', 'start', 'end', and 'random' of the string "nude", not "fit". I tried to access a value in a string/array/datamap, but I couldn't find it. absolutely nothing. You are completely nude. Super minor nitpick but "You shudder at the though of actual hot water. This is a dollar well spent, as far as you're concerned." "shudder" is generally related to negative feelings, and that isn't the case here. So maybe something like "quiver" or "tremble" might be more fitting, or reword it more for something like "The thought of actual hot water shoots a tingle up your back", or something to that effect. Another very minor nitpick: the "Return to game" button on the info page doesn't actually return you to game, it returns you to the last page. so if you press the info button twice, it takes you back to info first, and then back to game on the second click.
