I really enjoyed that translation, I have played that game 2-3 times because of that translation.

@Badger66 Some people were charged/have paid once in 2016, though that was officially for a translation for another game that he was doing as a side project, though the only reason people were paying that was to support him. That said I think its a bit naive to think that money is the only thing that gives people a right to speak their mind, plenty of people (especially long term supporters) will have seen posts that promise (might be a strong word, but its the most suitable one I can think of) content, updates or other things by date X, only to never happen. I'm still here as I support Yummy (and have done so financially), but of course I'm disappointed whenever progress fails to materialize, especially since communication on Patreon is so lacking. Saying that people should just go away or shut up if they're not blindly positive, is almost as bad as some of the more over the top negative posts.

That's it right there. We have not been charged anything in all this time. That's why I don't understand how people can get upset about the progress of this project. Yes, it has taken Yummy probably 10000x longer than he anticipated when he started this whole thing, but because we have never been charged, it is literally costing nothing if he does not make it as far into his progress that he wants. Now, if he started charging without any progress (which there is absolutely no evidence in him doing so), then yes I would understand the anger and frustration. Me, personally, I am rooting for Yummy to achieve his goals, and I feel more bad for him when he does not achieve those goals he set out for himself. And you know why, because as I said multiple times already, it costs nothing for me to root for him. Rooting for him has nothing but positive outcomes. It helps boost his morale and motivation, and when he does finally achieve his goals, we get to play the game. It really is a win-win. And if you don't want to actively root for him, that is fine. You can just stay silent or if it infuriates you that much, you can just leave. Nothing is keeping you here, except yourself.

I was talking about that MV re-release you mentioned, so much for being particular. This kinda perfectly illustrates my point though. Lets say I was talking about the last release, which you describe above as "the poor 0.11 release that half the content didn't work". Even if I was technically wrong about it I can still point out that's literally all you had to show for years of work. In light of that no one really gives a shit about whether I got the details wrong or not.

Now, you're putting words in my mouth. What are you talking about "It sucks to have no one take me seriously?" I'm not overly concerned about some random perception of whether I'm serious or not. I'm not out there responding to criticisms on whether they take me seriously. I'm responding to factually incorrect comments like the project is abandoned or I've shut my Patreon down. Those are objectively false statements that can mislead people who are following the project. In fact, I'm very particular on what I respond to criticism wise, because I agree with most criticisms. So no, the people I'm responding to are not "still right," they are making objectively false statements that effect me and I'm damn well going to respond to them from time to time. Finally, your last statement is also objectively false, as the last release was not a "re-release" merely without combat. It had new artwork, new music, and new story. It might not fit YOUR idea of a release, and if so, then it's fine to let me know that. It is not fine to claim it was not a release at all or was merely the same content without combat, that is objectively false.

Yeah sure people post false shit about you but as long as they're still right that it's been 6 years of failed attempts you're not going to be winning any of these arguments. I get that it must suck having no one take something you care about seriously but at the same time you haven't given anyone a reason to take this seriously. The only way to convince people things are different is if things actually are different, which means actually putting out something (a re-release of the demo with no combat doesn't really count though).

I made this post because 1. I don't plan on charging for the next two releases and I didn't want people to get excited when they saw a release that was only meant for testing purposes. 2. My Patreon was taken down for a short while and I determined I should probably post an update since people have requested one for awhile. As for getting into an argument, I'll post to address false information whenever I please. I've made literally about 6-8 posts in the past 6 months. So piss off with the "arguing online" thing. If I was online posting daily and going back-and-forth every single time someone posted, that would be one thing, but I'm not. And this is MY project, that I care about. If people are going to say blatantly false shit about it, I'm going to speak up.
