Hello,
Lots of things to cover. I'll go into details in a moment, but for those who just want the executive summary version, here is goes:
1. This Patreon was suspended for violating the Community Guidelines (I had implied nudity on public pages). The violations have been removed and all adult material will be confined to patron-only posts going forward. This will not impact the game, nor patron-only content.
2. Aylia's Story is not dead. I did take a step back in April to get my shit together and ensure that if I did come back, I'd commit to giving you all the experience you deserve. Well, I'm committed, so we'll see.
3. In an effort to do away with release dates and provide transparency, I've created a Trello page. This page will be updated daily (weekdays). The page can be found here: https://trello.com/b/JUvqGocH/aylias-story-015
4. Aylia's Story is now using RPG Maker MV. There were a couple reasons for the shift. First, it solves a lingering save-transfer issue. Second, it allows me to utilize resolutions higher than 640x480--you have no idea how much I hated scaling artwork down to fit a 640x480 window. Yes, it created some work, but no, you're not paying anything extra for this.
Okay, for the more detailed version--We're back! Bogwort's a bit perturbed by his extra workload, but he'll get over it. He wanted to use the "update stick" on general principle, but male nudity violates Patreon guidelines too! (Kudos to patrons who got that joke!)
It's been awhile since I posted, thank you for staying pledged while I figured things out. I promised you in April that I'd only keep this going if I could give it the attention your support deserves. A big part of that will be more consistent updates, no more false promises, and transparency. I've created a Trello page which I will update daily. There, you will be able to see the tasks left until the next release. I will try and keep it as complete and detailed as possible while avoiding spoiling too much. The link is above, but you can find the Trello page here:

Another part of treating this Patreon right is posting more... a lot more. When I started out, I was posting 1-2 times a week. Somewhere, that got lost in the shuffle. Posting more adds to the excitement of doing this (as I'm creating the game for all of you), and it leaves you guys in the dark. Starting in July, I plan on getting back into a weekly rhythm. At a minimum, there will be a public post at the beginning of each month. Beyond that, I will provide patron-only posts with minor updates, minor teasers, etc. Since you're all here, let's get the minor teasing going. For those interested, here is a download with two of the new songs that you'll find in version 0.15. Aylia's Story will feature a full commissioned music track (I'm a firm believer that music really enhances everything). Of course, there will be options to turn off music for those who don't love it as much as I do.

The next point of interest is that Aylia's Story is being converted to RPG Maker MV. I'm sure this will cause a few heads to bang into their desks, but I made the call for a few reasons. The biggest was finding a script that converted the database, maps, and events from VX Ace to MV. While Aylia's Story is still in it's early stages, there was A LOT already there in terms of dialogue, events, etc. That script made the MV conversion less of a mountain to climb and more of a hill to cross. Beyond that, the custom scripts in MV are shaping up better, and the plug-in system literally solves the save-transfer issue I'd been dealing with for over a year. Instead of investing time into fixing and adding necessary scripts, they were already available in MV. It doesn't eliminate all the issues, but it seemed a worthwhile trade. Finally, MV is not limited to freaking 640x480! Holy crap, I'd already looked into dealing with a host of issues to try and use the "highres dll" for VX Ace because that 640x480 limitation drove me nuts. I hate, hate, hate scaling things down, and the increase resolution is a Godsend for having more space in the battle screen. I can actually show monsters, HUD, and a good sized Aylia to exploit!
In an effort to not write a book, I'll stop there and post more in the next update. Check out the Trello page, listen to the new music, let me know your thoughts. One thing that has not changed, and unless Patreon's stance shifts, shouldn't ever change is that I won't take your money until I've earned it. I'm ready to earn it.
Thank you for your support, and let's see if we can't get Aylia horizontal soon!
