Mid-Month Update (September)

Hello,

Well, it's mid-September and time for an update on things. As I said last month, you can expect a status update at the beginning and middle point of each month. In terms of good news, the scripter is back and working on the game. His priority will be battle system and save compatibility. I still plan for the first major release of chapter 1 to maintain save compatibility going forward. MiB is still vetting an artist to assist with menu artwork, background artwork, and other miscellaneous tasks. He is also vetting potential composers for more original music. MiB will also post the first "Developer Post" later this month, he has a lot of experience in the field, so I'm interested to see what he offers. I'll take next month with a tutorial on parallax mapping in RPG Maker. 

For the bad, we're over two weeks into September and 0.11 is not out the door. I've been pouring my time into this next release and it should be a good one. When it is ready, there will be an alpha release on Patreon. That release will have bugs and issues, but will signal that our editor has the game and is working on it. When he finishes, there will be a beta release. That release will precipitate the public release by 1-3 days, depending on issues. All future releases will follow this pattern. My recommendation will always be to wait until the beta or public, but that will be your call to make. 

What to expect in the second half of the month:

1. The release of 0.11 which will have the entire prologue with the last few updated CGs (done), and half of the first Chapter 1 Major Update (~90% done). This release will have 3 new Aylia scenes, and 1 scene for each of the rivals.

2. The September/October poll - We've decided to merge the polls for these months. Given the stage of development, it seems foolhardy to try and offer more customization options until you've gotten more of the game to experience. The first poll will cover Lynne, the October/November artwork, and minor game content.

3. The MiB introduction and first "Developer Post."

You really need to stop setting dates for releases. I get hyped every time for nothing. :'( Just release it when you are ready

It feels good that things are finally getting somewhere. It must feel even better for you YT! I've been watching disgruntled fans with other Patreon projects (like Simbro) where people are abandoning, but your pledge per update choice was definitely a good one. But then again hindsight is 20/20. Can't wait for what's to come. But then again we've waited so a lil more won't hurt =P
