The problem is not bug-testing. He started to put thing into RPG maker like 2-3 months ago, so bug testing wasn't a problem. I'm honestly curious to see the next post of YT (even because it's more than a month from the last one and a month and half since the last informative one).

I think part of the problem here Yummy is how you bug test. What successful creators tend to do i s free up at least 2-3 days when they release an update. That way when we play the update, we'll report the bugs, and generally three or four patrons have ways to crack the game open and look at the actual RPGmaker code and tell you exactly how to fix whatever bugs are reported if you can't figure it out for yourself. Instead we have a game come out, then you take it back for bug fixing, but you are trying to find and fix all the bugs on your own. That's a horrible idea for two reasons: 1) Time consuming. Just finding the bugs will require you to play the game several times over instead of just once due to all the possible variations. 2) It's impossible. There's a REASON even AAA games released by the professional companies have bugs and need patching. Because you will never be as imaginative as the players. There will always be that one player who finds a way to do something you never considered. Your best bet is to release the game again, let us all play and find the bugs, report them to you, and you just fix what we find one by one. It'll mean having to recompile and re-upload the game many times over for a few days, but that's the way this works. (Considering just how many patrons I support, I've seen what works and what ultimately doesn't enough times...) Otherwise you'll never make any real progress in any kind of decent timeline.

You do realize that the ENTIRE GAME is free. Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are all planned to be released publicly after a short beta. You don't have to ever pledge anything. This Patreon is if you liked the game and want to donate towards development. If you donate, then I try to offer a few perks like a few days early access, teaser artwork, lore posts, opinion polls and brainstorms, etc. The notion that if I somehow run a pledge I'm charging you unfairly is silly. You can simply decline any pledge, I'll make it crystal clear when it happens and you'll have plenty of time to make a decision. The next true release is not a pledged update, so you'll be given ample information to make your decision.

What's all this about a "chunk" of chapter 1? Can we get a post or something telling us what the hell is going on? After saying for the whole project that chapter one is free and saying for like 8 months that chapter 1 will be out next month you can't just suddenly spring that you're now splitting it up. The time to decide it's too big for one release was halfway through the progress chart not when "it's almost done" a dozen times over. You've either decided you need to start making cash so you've split the completed work EA style, or were lying about how much was done and need a way to still release something before this finally imploded. Either way we're being screwed over and I don't see why anyone would pay for Chapter one after all this.

You can bet on in, and it will be his fault. I think I speak for a lot of people when i say my trust on Yummy is 0, and not even releasing the game tomorrow could fix that.

Well the biggest fear I have for this project is that as soon as yummy goes over to real pledges, he will lose many of his patreons. Because lets face it, you dont want to pay for endless beta versions of chapters for a game of which you are not even sure it will be finished in the next 10 years

I honestly don't think it's just "copy and paste" job. Still, this doesn't explain why he hasn't released anything except the prologue (which was already released 1.5 years ago I think). I dont' think we will see anything new in a short amount of time, let's see what YT will say in the new post about the work-in-progress.

Well took the advice that always gets posted and stepped away for a while. So am I missing something from not being on the Discord or is "just adding the assets to rpgmaker" for an already completed prologue a multi month project? In a program where you can just hit copy and replace this should take a weekend max.

I agree with everything you just said, however he isn't charging anyone thus he can continue to take his grand ole' time, which is fine. He isn't charging so no one should really be upset, other then to be a little disappointed. After all this time I think people should lower their expectations seeing his track record. Better to be pleasantly surprised then to be constantly disappointed.

I recall there being an end of may/early june release schedule - i think YT even said everything was essentially done and it was minor things to clean up... then this random post about Discord and asking for moderators and no update on the progress for over a month and a half! I mean, i get that things take a back seat sometimes, just be open and honest and let us know what's up... these extra long silences when you've had a history of flaking out on your supporters is just causing more tension and mistrust. You have the MiB, just a quick 5 minute update on what's going on each week is all that is needed... no new pics, no sneaky peeks, just a few paragraphs on progress (or lack thereof)! Easy you'd think!!

Well, you're in luck, I am bringing on more people. That's part of why things have been so silent. I'm been interviewing a couple people, comparing credentials with MiB, and planning how workload will be assigned going forward. I'll be posting a full update with a release soon. I'll be out of town for a family birthday until Sunday, but will be aiming to post soon after that.

Best news I feel would be reading that you've finally hired some manpower and are not working alone on this project anymore. I do think you've got a great creative mind brewing great, pervy ideas all the time. It would just take more than one man by himself to keep up and finish a game with all of that. Ever.

Short answer: the only thing he's had to proofread is the stuff YT has posted for everyone. :P If I had to take a guess without speaking officially for YT, I'd guess from previous comments that full editing/proofing will take place after the initial Chapter One release, rather than pushing the release back farther while I poke along.
