Thanks! Yeah the fact that it allowed one board to work unlocked really put me down the wrong path. I didn't show much in the other video, but I tried all sorts of different permutations (but never tried locking them both) and it was always the same board that wasn't working.

2023-12-14 18:58:22 +0000 UTCWhat an adventure. It’s so impressive the lengths hardware manufacturers went to allow for hot swappable redundancy. The optical sensor on the lock mechanism is wild. I also would have overlooked that switch since the insertion lever locks. It’s also confusing that the system still works in some kind of failsafe mode when all ram modules unlocked. Really enjoying the videos, great work!
