Added 2025-01-02 17:59:17 +0000 UTCHappy New Year everyone!
We have finalized the three movies we will be discussing for the Patreon after-show on Kurt Russell. Those movies will be: Tango & Cash (1989), 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001), and Bone Tomahawk (2015). Thanks for all of your suggestions. For the main, we will still discuss: The Best of Times (1986), Breakdown (1997), and Escape from L.A. (1996).
For movie catch-up, we have a lot to go through, including: The Apprentice, Anora, Wicked, The Substance, Juror #2, and Nosferatu. Some of those are movies that we both watched, others only one of us did. (I'll let you guess which one of us did NOT see Wicked).
I will also be finally be discussing The Penguin series as well as the recent Indiana Jones and the Great Circle video game. I know we don't talk about games on catch-up but I have to share my thoughts on this one. I might also get to some of the recent holiday streaming duds that I watched this year like Dear Santa and Nutcrackers. Oof.
Planning to record all of the episodes in a couple of days. Thanks for your patience as we ironed out the details! Stay tuned.

2025-01-04 04:51:09 +0000 UTCTango & Cash has the most stacked villain cast I've ever seen in a film, Jack Palance, James Hong, Robert Z'Dar, Brion James AND Clint Howard?! No wonder they needed Kurt Russel and Sly Stallone to team up and take them down! I wish the Expendables movies had that many bad guy character actors in one film!

2025-01-02 19:30:16 +0000 UTCKurt Russel on ACC, what a dream. "Breakdown" is such an under-appreciated, fun movie. Escape has caught a lot of grief over the years, but if you separate it from New York, and view it through a Larry Cohen esque lense, it's a lot of fun. Bruce Campbell as a serial killing LA plastic surgeon!

2025-01-02 18:47:24 +0000 UTCRyan should see Wicked, it's one of the best big movies of the year. And Joe should stop wasting his time with barely interactive CG animated films. If you really want to feel like Indiana Jones go play the impenetrable La Mulana!

2025-01-02 18:04:24 +0000 UTCIf your interested in another “cinematic” game series, why don’t you give the “Yakuza/Like a Dragon” series a shot. There are certainly silly aspects to the series, but they are some excellent “pulp” style crime dramas.
