Next episode updates!

Hey everyone, hope you had a great rest of your summer! We're still trying to arrange a time to sit down and record our episode on King of New York. Scheduling was a little tricky this month but we're hopeful that we'll find some time before the end of the month. Feel free to leave some of your thoughts on that movie in the comments below for us to read on the show.

We also will have a loaded movie catch-up that includes some recent big releases like Deadpool & Wolverine, The Bikeriders, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

After that, being that we'll be in October, it's my annual opportunity to get Ryan to watch a horror movie and I have decided we'll be covering John Landis' Innocent Blood! For the Patreon show following that ep, we'll talk about Landis' first three major releases (Animal House, The Blues Brothers, and American Werewolf in London).

At some point we'll also be discussing the second batch of 15 Adam Sandler movies. I still have a handful left to watch, but I will just say that two of the ones I watched have already landed on the bottom two spots of my list and the rest haven't been too far up... It's been a rough.

Stay tuned for that and more! Thanks for patience and support.

Also anything I sent them, if you love Ryan shitting on CGI you will love those episodes

I'd rather chew my own arms off at the shoulder.

Lux Anatis

Seconded, but I raise a Pluto Nash Patreon exclusive episode to go with it.

Would love for you guys to cover Ivan Reitman's "Evolution" which is basically Ghostbusters' spiritually successor (no pun intended)

SpectSerg

If anyone wants letterboxd free tickets to an Atlanta Screen Gems screening of "Piece by Piece," a biopic of singer/producer Pharrell done in lego, I couldn't really be less interested.

Thomas Bishop

Good use of "whilst"!

Also while you guys might remember I really enjoyed Deadpool Vs Wolverine, something I didn't bring up because it doesn't relate to the film is the promo at Jack in the Box, Spicy Chicken Tenders with Waffle Sticks and Mini Chimycogas, never had the Chimycogas and it's too late now, but I had the Chicken and Waffles, Waffles sticks okay, more like a pancake in a mode, but Jack in the Box non ground Chicken is awful, every time I get them I always throw up

Whilst I haven't seen all of his films, Abel Ferrara is certainly an interesting director to witness in terms of career. Starting out as a porn director (Not uncommon for now-known directors to get their start during the 70s), to exploitation, to art house cinema, he's dabbled in quite a lot; never reaching that mainstream success like a Scorsese or Coppola. You know you're an obscure director when your only noticeable interview is being sloshed on Conan.

The One and Rory

Before you record for KING OF NEW YORK you guys should check out Abel Ferrara on Conan in the 90s to promote THE FUNERAL. Interesting appearance.

As a criminal with currently 2 outstanding warrants, I take offense to your comment

Louie Caponecchia

Omg, I literally just watched that movie for the first time 2 weeks ago

Louie Caponecchia

We recently watched Little Nicky (AGAIN!) - I can’t wait to hear what you guys have to say about it 😂 The Blues Brother was one of the first movies my family got on DVD and I’ve seen it countless times. Killer soundtrack!

Mary and Steve

Hi welcome to Hell, how can I take your order

JokersJuicyAss

American Werewolf in London?? With Rik Mayall??? Very excited to listen to more of the podcast.

I remember you was conflicted, misusing your fleshlight. Sometimes I did the same. Abusing my sex toy, full of sperm. Sperm that

I was finally able to join the Patreon and Im very excited to see you'll be covering Blues Brothers soon, that's my favorite movie of all time

I disliked King of New York so much I declined on the Bad Lieutenant films. Not really a bad film, I just can't pretend to be interested in crime and criminals presented the way it does. And if Joe decides to do another marathon review, I suggest Eddie Murphy star vehicles post 1990. It's probably been at least 15 years since anyone on the planet has seen, let alone thought about, Meet Dave.

Lux Anatis

Wait Landis made a movie called Innocent Blood?

JokersJuicyAss

"Room service mother f*ckers!"
