Early Access: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Review & Discussion

Hey everyone! As promised, here is our discussion on 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny' recorded just minutes after we saw the movie on Thursday night. This is the first time we've talked about a movie immediately after watching it in a movie theater so our thoughts weren't as organized as if we'd been taking notes but we still found a lot to talk about and tangents to go on - as you can tell from the runtime.

If you've seen the movie, tell us what you thought of it! Did you agree or disagree with what we had to say? Let us know below!

On the subject of Young Indiana Jones episodes being 90 minutes, that's because when they were released they strung two episodes together for each one. When they were originally aired they were 30 minute episodes minus commercials.

Trembling Colors

I've always understood why the Ark killed all those Nazis and Belloq was because they were evil. The angels come out of it and look pleasant and are in my mind judging the character of the people that opened the Ark and see that they are evil and that's why their faces turn skeletal and they zap and melt all of them. Why they spare Indy and Marion is because they didn't open the Ark and aren't evil, them closing their eyes may or may not have had anything to do with them being spared. It may also be that only the Jewish people who had a covenant with God through the 10 Commandments that were inside the Ark could use it's power, the direct enemy of those people, the Nazis, trying to use it makes them doubly not worthy.
