Mix & Match - Game 7 [SURVEY TIME!]
Added 2021-12-23 01:18:32 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Starting next year, we'll be doing a fresh round of Mix and Match stories - this means that you have the chance to put my characters in really weird situations that you decide!
However, I like to work with characters that you guys like the best! So that means I'm asking you which characters are your favorites, and I'm asking you for prompts that you think we should put them in!
For those of you that don't know how the game is played (I've gotten a lot of newbies over this last year!) I'll explain it to you. You can select as many characters from my stories as you want, as well as simple prompts to go alongside them. Or one or the other! And since it's a new game, that means that literally every character in my portfolio is up to mention. I have a few picked out, but I want to shape my characters and the prompts around what you guys like!
I'll pick out my favorites from anything posted here, and then I'll work them into a set of polls. The four highest-scoring characters/scenarios get paired together. It's about as random as I can make it while still making it fun for you guys!
Here's what a good suggestion looks like:
CHARACTERS:

Any and all characters that I've written for (that are my own) are up for grabs, and these simple prompts are the best way to make sure that they're applicable to a wide variety of characters. These can include other characters too, in specific ways like "moves in with Hannah Hammond" or more vague ones like "swaps weights with her sister"
A bad suggestion looks like:
> a woman locks herself in a bakery and eats all of the food and comes out the next morning weighing 1,000 pounds
> a continuation of [x] thread from writing.com
> a sequel to [x] from an old Mix and Match game

2021-12-24 23:55:19 +0000 UTCSeconded for Maria. Also, had a unique idea, thought a bit odd. Character, fat, loses weight through lap band or otherwise. Ends up with excess skin. Either a. Goes to a surgeon but wakes up fat again (with no memory of losing weight if of you want creepy) b. Can’t afford surgery and stress eats back to size c. Learns lesson on body image d. Something else Honestly, I don’t ever remember reading a fic dealing with a character’s excess skin after weight loss despite it being common IRL. Understandable as the skin is kinda gross, but I think it has potential for good ‘reinflation’ terms without doing inflation directly.

2021-12-23 15:17:44 +0000 UTCThere was a long discussion on my discord channel about the merits of each character getting their own Ideal World, so that option will be pruned to a round where a more "desirable" outcome would come out of it - but Piper for sure is one of the ones who belong in that category

2021-12-23 15:17:00 +0000 UTCI don't just write wlw, I write mutual stuff too (most recently, Caleb Cat & Cutie Pies and Raye & Fayzan!), but they tend to wind up at the bottom of the barrel in these kinds of things, so I tend to omit the option in the name of not wasting a slot. Maybe I should do a mutuals round? That'd be fun!
