Toobi Tickled Exclusive Video Preview 2


  Another preview! Been working hard on getting everything right and making sure all the hands/implements have a reason and a purpose as opposed to just flailing around.

 Gonna start rendering out a pass of the animation tonight, to have it delivered to the VA by Saturday. Depending on how soon she's able to get the work back to me, we're on track to be finished within two weeks. Of course if she takes a bit longer, well, we'll just deal with it as it goes. She's a professional though and I expect good things (and she knows full well what I'm looking for; laughing, babbling, begging, and crying). After getting the audio I'll spend a few days doing the facial animation; I've created some preliminary poses in the pose library, but in the past I've done too much facial animation before receiving the audio, and then I end up having to re-do a big chunk of it anyway. Trying to be more efficient! 

  Voting for next months animation will begin soon; expect to see one of the prior months options re-appear along with two new options. After finishing this one I'll have a short surprise loop ready to go a few days after, and then it's on to whatever March has in store for us. 

  As for the animation preview, the lighting is just a first pass and I'm having a bit of an issue with the volumetrics which I'll spend some time solving after all the animation is complete (when the camera moves through the volume field the lighting changes). In prior animations I simply key-framed the volume scatter node in the World tab, but I want to find a more elegant solution (if possible). I'll also spend more time polishing the camera movements; it's a little quick right now, but doing all that stuff for me is a bit of a treat after all the animation is in, so I save it for last.

Her flesh will animate at the contact points. ;) Shapekeys are a beautiful thing. Thanks for the kind words as well; I actually see a fair bit of things I still need to fix (that last round of polish does wonders), but you've given me some good motivation. And yup, she's breathing/straining/laughing. Will sync it up more when I get the audio!

wow thats nuts did u actually flex her abdominals like shes laughing (or inhaling/exhaling) really hard? this is probably like, the highest quality of this sort of thing i've personally ever seen, thank you for putting so much work into it, it really shows how above and beyond you're going. and yeah its better to have to wait a few extra days than rush anything out. (also thanks for spending time on tickling her all over. I've never been a foot person, so I love the upperbody, belly and hips focused stuff.) great job really making it look like hands are a part of the environment. do they actually interact with/move the body? just asking, but then you'd have to actually animate her flesh moving at the contact points of the hands which would be hard/time consuming
