I think your reaction to this episode was the most affected reaction I've seen to it. It looks like it hit you REALLY hard. I've seen some tear up, but it's been minimal. One thing I didn't realize when I first watched it was Irving saying "I'm ready" was a callback to earlier when Burt showed Irving that room with all the plants and said it could be their secret place and talked about lip-to-lip contact, Irving said "I'm not ready." Also, when Milchik said, "Devour feculence," it took me a second and then I just laughed and said, "He just told you to eat shit and you're not smart enough to know!" I'd never heard the word "feculence" before, but I worked it out because of the root "fec" for feces. The context clue of starting with "devour" that helped me put it together. I didn't know what Jame Eagan meant by "You tricked me" either, but I think he meant at the gala 'cause he came to talk to her in the restroom beforehand and spoke to her, thinking she was Helena. Afterward, in ep 1 of S2, he came and talked to Helena again and called her "fetid moppet!"
