A good Ryan O'Neal movie to check out is "Irreconcilable Differences" (1984). O'Neal & Shelly Long (from "Cheers" TV series) are married & Drew Barrymore plays their young daughter who sues her parents for divorce. He had a very funky career, a lot of flopped movies, with a few good ones here & there. He was a bit of a beast in his personal life.
