This season is starting off strong and I really appreciate that they're not being direct in telling us when we are anymore. It seems like the show runners are trusting that we've figured things out enough that they can swap very quickly throughout an episode now. And I love that.
The theories I have right now seem silly, so guess we'll wait and see!

That's interesting, I never knew that was a real thing, I thought that was just something people came up with as a ghost story. So if this Adam sees himself as the "beginning" of the new human race, Noah is his secondary... So I guess we have to wonder if Adam acted on his own or if there's a "God" in play telling Adam what to do

2024-09-26 01:03:02 +0000 UTCSo my thought at first is that there were two camps presented at the end of season 1; Noah and old Claudia. Noah works for Adam who is old. Claudia is old. So is Claudia an Eve probably not but if we stay with the biblical or at least judeo-christian origin story, Claudia is more like a Lilith. For background, Lilith was the first wife of Adam that was kicked out of Eden for disobeying Adam. She's also the first demon and succubus.

2024-09-26 00:22:15 +0000 UTCRemember we are 33 years in the future so Elisabeth is 33 years older too. So she would be 42ish years old. And I'm not sure how old der Jonas is but with the 33 year thing I assume he is 33 years older than young Jonas, so about 50 years old.

2024-09-25 22:20:37 +0000 UTCAlready have questions LOL it appears these miners are creating the doorways. Young Noah isn't talking about THE Adam right? Some religious prophecy passed down from the first human? No, it has to be some cult thing right? Someone from the future who is hell bent on stopping "Armageddon" (nuclear war) and thinks he can bring about a new Eden? OR someone that thinks the only way to get the new Eden is to CAUSE nuclear war? Hmm... It's hard to predict something that could literally take any direction. Is Ghoul Lex Luthor this Adam we keep hearing about? He's certainly speaking like someone that wants to bring about paradise by "cleansing" the world with fire. Ah, yes, he sure is. That was a quick reveal. I don't trust it LOL In the back of my mind I'm thinking "what are you up to, writers?" For whatever reason, Adam reminds me of something Ultron said: "I think about meteors, the purity of them. Boom, the end, start again." - Except in Adam's case, the meteor is a nuke... WAIT. He was burned horribly... did he used to be a bomb maker? Or at least a chemist? Had a near-death experience and realized the only way to really make things better is to destroy it all first and start again? But if it was just some crazed zealot wanting to destroy the world in order to make a new one.... why the time travel? Noah was one of the ones helping create the doorways for Adam... Hmm. Interesting.

2024-09-25 21:43:08 +0000 UTCExcited to see you back and running! Out of the shows you are currently watching, I was also most excited to see your next Dark reaction! I love the jump into the new season! They had an amazing season 1 to follow up and I think they did a great job with skipping us ahead a couple months and giving us an update on all the characters and planting all the seeds for the new season! Also just to note - this season came out in June 2019 despite the one story line talking place in June 2020. It was funny to look back at them planting the seeds for an apocalypse happening in 2020 back in 2019 knowing what happened to us in real life in 2020..
