2023 WRAP UP

Hello everyone

We are reaching the end of 2023 and it's time to wrap it up !! The community is still the most amazing and i was honored to share, talk and create with you. I cant be thankfull enough for the joy and luck i have. 

i'm so gratefull to being able to have this dream job and it's all about you guys. So once again thank you <3

Claybeast is reaching it 3rd year and we are still rocking. This year have seen the most diverse and original designs as i did work on 7 different factions ( more on that later )

I had the luck to have my wife helping me a lot while sculpting and even having her design her own first model which is marvelous. Also a word for Qtapa and Zacharias, my 2 friends helping me testing and refining the files so you 

guys have the best products in the end. They are big parts of the quality improvement !

Well, it's time to recap this year.

In 2023, we started with a wave for the CRYPT NIGHTMARES, our beloved undeads.

But the main army was the GROVE GUARDIANS ! Totally unexpected until the release of the Spirit of Pec in 2022, i've covered all the creatures of the woods and it was a blast to do so. I've seen a lot of them now out in the nature and this 

is super cool. Army is now done but i'll for sure add some more in the future ...

The other big parts was the SONS OF THE EVERFEAST. Starting from a joke on a stream, it became another big hit of 2023 and the army is still ongoing as we are reaching the end of the range soon. Also a really cool project and the

first real humanoid race for me. I cant wait to share with you the last bits of it !

Now onto a race that is still coming back, indeed the STARSCALES. I was supposed to be done but as you know, some reinforcement where required for my beloved space lizards. This leads to some of the most fantastic models of 2023 but also 

create some delay on some of the promised forces ...

We also got a bonus wave for the FALLEN BEASTS, while they where supposed to be done, we reached the 400 subs goal so i had to unlock their terrain piece, meaning a cool wave to go along it ( dont worry undeads, yours will come too !! )

But wait that's not all the 2023 recap.

This year, i've updated the whole loyalty system as the community deserve some more free minis <3

First, i finally worked on the first SAND LORDS mini with the 3 months gift, the Sand whisperer. One of the most hard minis i did this year, those elves are hard to sculpt !!

Then i've had the Ancient sunlord, an idea from Zacharias for the 6 months.

Finally, we got a weird concept from Qtapa, a crab full of tiny pigmies... that leads to one of the most challenging sculpt i've done so far : the Tik'crawler. Yep it's a totally new faction, the SEA'MOA MADLADZ. Will it go further or will it

just stay a single fantastic mini, it's up to you !

So that's the end of 2023 and we have announced the first wave of the awaited SAND LORDS. Those guys took time to emerge from the Deep Dunes of the south but they are finally here and i hope you'll give them a warm welcome.

Now it's time for the 2024 Roadmap.

2023 main army where the GROVE GUARDIANS, then the SONS OF THE EVERFEAST took the lead. So what will i cook for 2024 ?

First i'll finish the Viking ogres as i've got few waves to wrap up the whole range.

For the rest of it, i'll let the community  decide what they really want.

The SAND LORDS will make their debut this year , that is for sure ! The force will be some arabian/sand warriors elves, riding some fantastic mounts and allied with Dune creatures to have a fantastic force of both regular pointy ears and some more exotic desert fighters. 

The 2 big forgotten of 2023 , aka the SHADOW STALKERS and the CRYPT NIGHTMARES will make a return this year.

For the SHADOW STALKERS, while i feel a bit stuck on the design, i'll try to expand it as some of their minis are my favorites.

For the CRYPT NIGHTMARES however, we'll have some big reinforcement as we can expect with recent events...  Expect some more Feral vampires with several waves but also a Bone construct part  ( kinda like the first wave of 2023 ).

Also i wont add it here but i'll probably have some GROVE GUARDIANS reinforcement at some point, adding forest elves and some more wood creatures but this will probably be later in 2024 or in 2025 as next year is SUPER crowded already.

Now what about the olds and newcomers, aka the Goblin'ish factions ?

The ARACHNID PRIVATEERS are now more than 2 years old but the sky pirates can be a thing in 2024 if you want to, i've got ideas since a long time ago.

Also the new SEA'MOA MADLADZ was super funny to design and there is already the full faction done on the paper with some of the funniest concepts out there.

I wont add any " new " faction to this as i think we need to finish stuff before going wild again.

Is it all ? NO ! While i did an overall update on the Loyalty system this year, i'll work on the welcome pack in 2024 and maybe working on the render / pictures if i can. Also i'll try to improve the level again as i've got more and more challenging sculpts.

So, about the main army of 2024 ? Well it'll be all on your side to decide it. I'll make a poll public so it can hit everyone. I'll publish it saturday to avoid flooding people with posts .

You'll have to chose between all the factions above what will be the main force of next year , meaning you'll have 1 wave every 2 months.

I'll also discuss more with the community on how to improve Claybeast creation to it next level.

What a program !!

Also 2024 will have some more bundles available for the CRYPT NIGHTMARES and the GROVE GUARDIANS.

We'll also have our yearly painting contest with Ben coulson trying to keep his title !

I can't wait to see what 2024 will looks like but it will for sure , be full of Clay Beast CreationS !
